About Camp Hadar

A Rewarding Camping Experience

Camp Hadar is located on 17 acres of scenic woods and sandy beach on Captain’s Pond in Salem, New Hampshire. The goal of Camp Hadar is to provide all campers of ALL faiths with a fun, safe and rewarding camping experience in a Jewish Cultural environment with emphasis placed on personal growth, friendship, and fun.

Camp Objectives

  1. To help campers feel good about themselves and to see themselves as an integral part of a larger community.
  2. To help each camper develop self-confidence and a feeling of self-worth.
  3. To help each camper develop friendships and to learn to cooperate and communicate with others in group situations.
  4. To widen the range of interest and experience of each camper, helping each camper to learn new skills and acquire specific skills and/or techniques.
  5. To foster in each camper a sense of fair play and good sportsmanship.

Individual Attention for Your Children

A low staff/camper ratio will be maintained for all groups. The ratio allows campers to enjoy a nurturing environment and fosters social and educational growth. But most of all, your children will have fun and receive personal attention.

Honesty, Caring, Responsibility & Respect

Existing activities that stress honesty, caring, responsibility and respect are the essences of the Camp Hadar Experience. All summer long campers will strive to shoot a 3 pointer on the basketball court; earn badges for learned skills in all specialty areas; learn to canoe and kayak; improve swimming skills; make new friends, and learn new camp songs.
