2020 Camp Hadar Changes due to COVID-19

  • Camp Hadar will be 6-weeks not 8-weeks in 2020
  • No Bus Transportation 
  • All campers entering 5th-8th grade, CITs, and staff will wear a mask/neck gaiter when social distancing is not possible
    • Campers in Arava, Negev, and Sharon are not required to wear a mask
  • Drop-off and Pick-up times at camp will be assigned and staggered to allow for social distancing
    • All campers, CITs, and Staff will be screened upon arrival at camp
    • Parents will have a Family Sign to display on the car window with a QR code
    • ALL adults MUST wear a mask when dropping off/picking up at camp
    • All Hadar Staff screening campers will wear a mask and gloves
    • Screenings will be completed digitally by the parent/guardian through a QR Code
    • Temperatures will be taken daily (any staff, CIT, camper with a fever of 100.4 or greater will not be allowed into camp)
    • Campers, CITs, and Staff MUST stay home if they are not feeling well or if they came in contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19
  • No field trips, overnights, Family Nights, Parent Camper Lunches
  • No TL/CIT Adventure Trip
  • Outside visitors will be prohibited
  • In order to maintain a safe environment for campers and staff, we are asking all campers to register for a minimum of two-consecutive weeks of camp.
    • Campers/CITs must begin a two-week session on an ODD week (weeks 3, 5, and 7)
    • Campers/CITs may attend for more than two-weeks, but may not begin on an EVEN week
    • However, a camper/CITs can end after an ODD week, not returning for the Even week of the two-week session
  • The camp day will be divided into six, 20-minute blocks with a 40/20 split (40 minute activity/20 minute clean up)
    • Daily
      • Instructional Swim 
      • Free Swim 
      • Lunch/Snack
    • Rotation based on schedule
      • Watercraft
      • Arts and Crafts
      • Athletics
      • Judaic Culture
      • Music
      • Bunk Time
  • Campers, CITs, and Staff MUST bring their own lunch and snack daily (Camp Hadar cannot distribute food to campers, CITs, and Staff)
    • ALL lunches MUST have an ice pack (lunches cannot be placed into the camp refrigerator due to COVID-19 protocols)
    • Camp Hadar will have a carry-in/carry-out policy for 2020
  • ALL Campers, CITs, and Staff MUST bring their own water bottle (which MUST be labeled with their name)
  • ALL personal items MUST be labeled with a name (there will be NO lost and found…any items without a name WILL NOT be returned)
  • Campers and CITs should bring spray sunscreen (not lotion)
  • In lieu of a camp t-shirt, all campers, CITs, and Staff will receive a Camp Hadar a face/neck gaiter to wear when social distancing is not possible
