The goal of Camp Hadar is to provide campers with a safe, enjoyable and rewarding camping experience in a Jewish cultural environment.
Experienced, Professional Leadership
Camp Director: Jonathan Heller, an educator for nineteen years, enters his 13th year as Director. Mr. Heller is a graduate of Brandeis University and has been involved with camps for over sixteen years including 3 years as Director at Children’s Island Day Camp in Marblehead, MA and 3 years as Assistant Director at Camp Simchah in Middleton, MA.
Assistant Director: Michelle Soll has been working at Camp Hadar for nineteen years. Her expertise and love for the camp makes for an enjoyable summer for everyone who attends. Returning campers can’t wait to see her on their first day as it gives them a great sense of comfort. During the winter months, Michelle works as a Program Coordinator for the Merrimack Valley Jewish Federation. She has been with the Federation for fourteen years.
Camp Staff includes: A nurse on site, with an on-call physician at our disposal; certified waterfront staff; specialists and counselors with excellent experience in their field.
The camp specialist staff includes the Aquatics Director, Lifeguards, Athletics Director, Arts and Crafts Director, Music/Drama Director, Teen Leaders Director, Assistant to the Director for Human Resources, Assistant Director and Camp Director.
